Hero
Three layouts, one component
Split puts the intake card beside the headline. Statement lays the headline over a full-width photo. Index lays four practice doors under the headline. Select the Hero on the Home page and change Variant in the properties panel.
Change the words
The eyebrow, headline, lead, both buttons, the three numbers and the card copy are all fields in the properties panel. You never need to open the component to change them.
Change the photo
Use the Photo field. Portrait or landscape both work. Choose architecture, interiors or objects and keep people out of the focus.
Change the four doors
In the Index variant, double-click the component to edit the four door names and photos.
Practice areas
Edit an existing one
Open the CMS panel, choose Practices and edit the fields: name, number, tagline, summary, who it is for, fees, length, image and details.
Add a new one
Add an item in the CMS. Give it a name, a number and a summary. The page /practice-areas/your-name is created for you and appears in the index lists on the Home and Practice areas pages.
Remove one
Delete the item. Attorneys and matters that referenced it show an empty practice until you choose another.
Change the fees wording
The Fees and Typical length fields are plain text, so write them however your firm quotes.
People
Attorneys
Add a name, role, main practice, initials and a soft tint. The initials tile replaces a portrait. If you would rather show photographs, replace the tile with an image field.
Matters
Matters describes closed work using neutral wording. Change the outcome field to describe what happened, never to promise what will. The disclaimer note appears on the Home, Matters and matter pages.
Insights
Add an article with a category, author, date, cover image and body. Notes appear on the Home page, the Insights page and the author’s profile.
Questions, offices and roles
Questions, Offices and Roles are simple collections. Questions has a Group field: items in the Fees group appear on the Fees page.
Comments
Check your rules first
In many places professional rules limit or forbid client testimonials. The Client comments band on the Home page reads from the Voices collection. Check your regulator’s rules before you publish it.
How to remove it
Delete the Client comments section on the Home page, or delete the Voices items. Nothing else depends on them.
If they are allowed
Keep comments about service, never about results, and keep them anonymised or approved in writing.
Forms
Where the forms are
The hero card (Split variant), the Home page consultation band and the Contact page all use the same fields and the same Submit Button component.
Send submissions somewhere
Select the form, open the Form settings in the properties panel and choose email, a webhook or a spreadsheet integration.
Button states
The Submit Button has Default, Pending, Success and Error variants. Edit the wording of each in the component.
Be careful what you ask
The forms tell people not to send confidential details. Keep that line.
Compliance
Footer regulation line
Update the Regulation slot in the footer with your regulator’s name and your registration number.
General information line
Keep the General information only slot. It says the site is not legal advice and that past results do not guarantee an outcome.
Legal pages
Privacy, Terms and Disclaimer are written in plain English. Have your own lawyer or compliance officer review them before you publish.
Names, phones and emails
Search the project for wrenashby.example and 604 555 to find every demo contact detail.
Publish
Site settings
Set the site title, description, favicon and social image in Site Settings.
Delete or hide this page
Remove Edit Me from the footer links and unpublish or delete the page.
Check the phone layout
Open each page at phone and tablet width. Every page has a designed Phone layout.
Fonts
Schibsted Grotesk for headings, Geist for text and Geist Mono for small labels. Change them once in the text styles.
